The calculator estimates your risk of having a heart attack or dying from heart disease in the next 10 years. The tool is designed for people who are older than 20 and who do not have heart disease.

The risk score is based on the Canadian Cardiovascular Society 2009 guidelines and the Framingham Heart Study.

>14 >17 High Please talk to your doctor or health care provider about ways to improve your cardiovascular health.

 

Low risk= Less than 10% risk you will have a heart attack or die from heart disease in the next 10 years.
Moderate risk= A 10 to 20% risk you will have a heart attack or die from heart disease in the next 10 years.
High risk= A greater than 20% risk you will have a heart attack or die from heart disease in the next 10 years.
